How liquid is purified by UV-C

This non-thermal, light purification process, effectively replaces the more harmful heat pasteurisation.

UVC cleans the liquid keeping it as close to Natures raw product as is technologically possible

Milk, water, juice or any liquid that would otherwise need to be pasteurised or treated with chemicals can be effectively cleaned to safer levels using UVC

UV-C Light waves

Germicidal Range Is a small part of the UV electromagnetic  spectrum used for disinfection –

Ultraviolet treatment is performed at low temperatures and is classified as a non-thermal disinfection method.

Selective Efficiency

UVC light transfers radiation energy directly and selectively to the microbial DNA

It has no secondary effect on proteins, enzymes and other components in the liquid

Breaks the peptide bond

UV-C light causes the Peptide Bond formation in DNA – Bacteria, Yeast and Mould to become reproductively inactive and harmless

UVC units

The SP40 units, pictured here, have 40 such tubes and can purify liquid at 4000l/hr

Far better product quality

Quartz tubes containing specialised UVC lamps are encased in stainless steel tubes.

The liquid is pumped through these rifled tubes under a certain pressure which results in the correct timing of the cleaning needed to render the bacteria inactive.
